Man on cargo bike knocks down senior woman (84) – breaks her leg!

A man on a cargo bike hit a senior citizen in Berlin-Fennpfuhl on Wednesday afternoon – and then ran away.

According to police, the unknown person is said to have been on the cycle path on Möllendorffstrasse and was loading tree trunks that were sticking out to the left. He is said to have captured the 84-year-old with the trunks.

She had just crossed the street and apparently didn’t notice the cyclist. She fell in the collision and was taken to hospital with a fractured thigh.

The unknown cyclist is said to have initially stopped, but then continued driving, even though two passersby were said to have asked him to stay put.

The police are now looking for witnesses and are asking anyone with information to come forward:
