A cyclist ended up in the water of the Drentsche Hoofdvaart in Assen tonight. The man did not have to go to the hospital, but did lose his artificial leg in the tumble.
Something went wrong for the unfortunate cyclist just before 10 p.m. Due to unknown reasons he ended up in the water, with the help of bystanders he was able to get on the side.
His bicycle and artificial leg were left in the water. The police retrieved both objects from the water.
