Man killed his wife – was alcohol the trigger?

Was alcohol the trigger for the knife murder of Urzsula K. (33)? The mother of five children was attacked and killed by her husband Piotr K. (44) with a knife on Thursday evening.

As justice spokeswoman Ricarda Böhme said when asked, “the husband was under the influence of alcohol at the time.”

Though probably not in the way that he didn’t remember what he was doing when he attacked his wife. However, she did not give an exact alcohol level.

For the murder investigators, however, alcoholism does not seem to play a role. “The arrest warrant against the husband is for murder.” Means: Piotr K. cannot rely on alcohol for defense in case of doubt.
