Man in danger after skirmish with minor in Bruges

The facts took place on Friday evening at ‘t Zand in Bruges. During a walk with the dog it came to an altercation with a group of young people. During the ensuing skirmish, a minor would have dealt a blow to the man in his fifties. The victim fell down.

According to the Bruges police, the victim suffered serious injuries to his head as a result of the unfortunate fall. He was taken to hospital in critical condition and his life is still in danger. As a result of the facts, the minor suspect was arrested.

After questioning, the Bruges department of the West Flanders public prosecutor’s office will have to decide on a possible arraignment before the juvenile judge.
