The thirty-something had just finished an evening with friends and wanted to smoke another cigarette before going to sleep. One of his friends, who had already gone to bed, heard a strange noise and went to have a look. He saw the victim lying on the street and immediately notified the emergency services. The man was taken to Stuivenberg Hospital in life-threatening condition.
