Man grabs knife and threatens to slit enforcers throat after ticket

A 37-year-old man from Zundert was arrested around six o’clock Friday evening after he threatened to cut the throat of two enforcers. The man went crazy after he received a parking ticket at a supermarket on the Fabriekspad in Oisterwijk.

When the man saw that the enforcers were writing out the ticket, he approached them irritated. He shouted loudly that he was going to beat them up. He then made a movement along his neck with a finger and shouted: “Shall I cut your throat otherwise?” He then walked to his car from which, according to someone watching, he actually took a knife and took it in his hands.

‘We will not tolerate violence against our enforcers’
Finally, the man got into his car and, with his girlfriend as a co-driver, drove off at high speed. On his way home he was arrested in Zundert by the police, who had started a search.

“We do not tolerate violence against our enforcers,” emphasizes mayor Hans Janssen. “We will act decisively against this. They must be able to do their job safely. Thanks to the energetic approach of the police, the suspect was quickly arrested.”
