When the war broke out in Ukraine, Tony Garnett (29) and his girlfriend Lorna (28) from Bradford, England, quickly decided to run for help to a Ukrainian refugee. That was Sofiia Karkadym, a 22-year-old woman who moved in with them at the beginning of May. Ten days later, Garnett already knocked his girlfriend – with whom he has two children – at the door, he says in The Sun. “We quickly became very close. I have a click with her that I have never had with anyone before.”
Sofia says in the same newspaper that she immediately fell in love when she saw Tony. “It has happened very quickly, but it is our love story. I know people will look bad at me for this, but it happens. I saw immediately when I arrived that things were not going well between Tony and his girlfriend.” The British security agent means it with the Ukrainian, he adds. “We are already making plans for the future.”
