Guido de K. has to go into jail for two years to drive his ex in Den Bosch. The court in Den Bosch ruled on Tuesday. De K. wanted to talk to the woman after their divorce, but that ended completely wrong. He was convicted of attempted manslaughter.
After a lot of fighting and violence, the poisonous relationship of 3.5 years between Guido de K. and his Bossche girlfriend had finished, but the K. could not accept that. He followed her to work and house in the hope of being able to speak the woman.
On January 25 it went completely wrong when Guido saw his wife park in front of her house. He drove there and shouted at her. When the woman saw him, she walked past the electric BMW IX1 to cross to her house. Guido quickly put his car back in his reverse and knocked the woman over. After the blow, where the woman had bruises and a bruise left, Guido drove away and left the woman on the street.
Guido totally disagreed with the indictment of attempted manslaughter and always called it an ‘accident’. But the court believes that Guido used his car as a weapon. And after the woman ended up on the ground, she was dragged a bit over the road, the judges noted.

Guido de K. could have driven her dead, the court believes. “It is certainly not due to the fact that it ended relatively well with the victim and that her injuries were small,” the court writes.
There had been reports to the police before and Guido had previously received a contact ban and a conditional prison sentence of a week after he had beaten his wife. But the two came together again. This time it ended with the collision.
In addition to the two-year prison sentence, Guido de K. also receives a contact and location ban for the whole of Den Bosch. That takes three years. The court does not want the man to look up the woman and her two daughters again or make contact with them in a different way. The man has also lost his driver’s license for a year and a half.
