Man died after falling from balcony in Oostduinkerke

The 50-year-old fell on Monday when he tried to climb from a neighbor’s balcony to his own balcony.

The accident happened around 3.30 pm along the Albert I-laan in Oostduinkerke-Bad. A man in his fifties had left his apartment without his keys, locking himself out. He then tried to climb from his neighbors balcony to his own. During that maneuver, the victim fell from two floors.

The emergency services rushed to the spot to administer the first care to the Oostduinkerkenaar. The 50-year-old was subsequently taken to hospital in critical condition. In the meantime, he succumbed to his injuries.
