A motorist was seriously injured on Botenlaan in Eindhoven on Friday evening after colliding with another car. The man became trapped in his car due to the impact and was eventually freed by the fire brigade. The driver of the other car continued driving after the accident.
Things went wrong around a quarter to ten. After the collision, one of the cars ended up on its side. After the driver was freed from the wreckage by the fire brigade, he was taken to hospital.
The other car continued towards home after the accident. Because the crash was captured on camera and many people saw it happen, the license plate was quickly known to the police. The car could quickly be traced via the automatic license plate recognition system. The driver has been arrested.
