Probably on loan to Eindhoven
In February it was first reported that Manchester City were close to signing Brazilian attacking talent Sávio. About six months later, the 18-year-old right winger’s move from Atlético Mineiro to the City Football Group is perfect – but not to the “Skyblues”. The Série A club announced the departure of their homegrown team to French first division club ESTAC Troyes, which shares the same owners as the English champions.
Until recently, it had been said that Man City would also secure Sávio’s services on paper. Instead, the left-footed player will first switch to Troyes, who, according to Mineiro’s official figures, will pay 6.5 million euros – another 6 million euros can come in the form of bonus payments on top of that. It remains questionable whether the offensive player will play a game for the French at all. According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, PSV Eindhoven will soon sign the youth international on loan.
Sávio made his debut for Atlético Mineiro in September 2020 at the age of 16 and mostly came off the bench until the end. In total, the youngster completed 33 games in which he scored two goals.
