Manchester City is apparently faced with a commitment of one of the most promising talents in Norway. According to “The Athletic”, Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg BK could shortly sign at the Citizens. If there is a deal, the 18-year-old central midfielder rises to the record from the elite series for a record leaving.

To do this, at least 20 million euros would have to be due, which was once paid in 2006/07 for John Obi Mikel and his switch to Chelsea. NYPAN’s market value is currently being dated to EUR 12 million, which makes it most valuable professional in Norway’s football upper house. The U21 international, who is being courted by numerous clubs, is also said to be Borussia Dortmund, but would not spend the next season in Manchester despite transfers, the report, but a loan is expected for one year.
The fact that Nypan for Rosenborg will not be held for Rosenborg, despite the contract until the end of 2026 this summer, was considered very likely. The Youngster debut in the first team in November 2022 at the age of 15 and quickly developed into a regular player and top performer. There are now 70 games with 14 goals and eleven templates.
“Nypan is a central/offensive midfielder with an exceptionally high football IQ for his age,” says Bastian Schmitz, market value admin for transfer market in Norway, the Youngster. “He is two -footed, creative and has a good passing game – many of them are very intelligent passports.” It is also variable from his position. “This season he was used as a ‘wrong 9’ and as an offensive midfielder, although the deeper position is much better.” A few problems would have lasted him in growth, which is why he sometimes also performed fluctuating performance. Therefore, a loan seems to be the right way in the event of a deal with Man City to gain further experiences before Nypan has to measure itself against the stars of the Skyblues.
