The police arrested a man on Friday evening at the Kalf in Zaandam. He may have been seen with a firearm.
The police were present in large numbers and with bulletproof vests. It is not yet clear whether the man actually had a firearm with him. “The investigation is still ongoing,” said a police spokesperson. The police also could not say whether there was a threatening situation.
No one was injured in the arrest. The police expect to be able to provide more clarity tomorrow about what exactly was going on and who the arrested person is.
