A special police unit has arrested a man from Gieten after he allegedly threatened a PostNL delivery driver and another Gieten resident with a fake weapon.
The delivery man had parked his car in a street along the sidewalk and would have been told by an angry man that he was not allowed to park there.
The deliverer then drove on to the next address to deliver a package and told what had happened to him. The angry man would have noticed that and approached the two and threatened them.
According to one of the two men, he showed a gun that he had hidden in his waistband. Then the man walked home.
A police negotiating team managed to talk the man out.
