The police arrested a man last week on suspicion of supplying ammunition to John S., the suspect in a fatal shooting in Alblasserdam more than two months ago. That made it Public Prosecution Service announced on Monday†
An investigation by the Zeeland-West-Brabant police would show that the man, a 36-year-old Amsterdammer, sold ammunition to S. at the end of April. A search was therefore carried out at his home last week. Various firearms, ammunition, narcotics and a large amount of money were seized. The suspect was arraigned Monday and must remain in custody for at least another fourteen days.
S. is suspected of having shot two people on May 6 at the Tro Tardi care farm in Alblasserdam. Two others were seriously injured in the shooting. A few days before, S. would have killed the owner of a shoemaker’s shop in Vlissingen. The first pro forma session took place last week, at which S. was not present. He is charged with, among other things, murder or manslaughter.
