A man in Eindhoven accidentally shot himself on Wednesday night with a so-called ‘PCP pistol’, also known as an air rifle. The bullet grazed the man’s arm and ultimately ended up through his sleeve in the ceiling of his apartment on Echternachlaan.
The police went to investigate with various units. As a precaution, officers wore extra heavy bulletproof vests.
An ambulance was called and the man was checked in his apartment, he did not have to be taken to the hospital.
The police initially reported a shooting, but later changed that report.
It is unclear why the man was using the gun in the middle of the night.
