The 81-year-old man who abused a 12-year-old girl in Eindhoven last June will receive a prison sentence of 204 days. In addition, he must be treated for his psychological problems. That was determined by the court in Den Bosch on Monday.
The man pulled the girl into the bushes last summer, after which he kissed and touched her. He still denies that. According to him, the girl herself wanted to have sex with him. She would have pressed him to the ground, after which, according to the man, she sat on top of him.
Unbelievable, says the court, which therefore sentences the man to 204 days in prison. That’s exactly the length of his pre-trial detention, so he doesn’t have to go back to prison now. However, the man must be further treated for his psychological disorders to prevent recurrence.
Earlier, the man was therefore already admitted to a clinic. Incidentally, it is not about TBS, as the public prosecutor had demanded. The judge thinks that society is sufficiently protected now that the man is in a ‘normal’ clinic. There is also more space there than in a TBS clinic.
