The woman approached the elderly man by telephone, posing as a bank employee. She managed to play the victim in such a way that he gave her his bank card and telephone from his home in Schoorl shortly afterwards.

Later that day, thousands of euros were debited from ATMs and shops in Amsterdam. The phone was not returned to the 75-year-old victim.
