Man (62) arrested after false bomb threat at Nettorama in Den Bosch

A 62-year-old man from Den Bosch has been arrested in connection with the false bomb threat at the Nettorama supermarket on the Gruttostraat in Den Bosch on Friday evening.

Around half past ten in the evening the police received a report that ‘a bomb would go off within fifteen minutes’ at the Nettorama supermarket. The police then went to Gruttostraat with various units.

Officers cordoned off the area and evacuated buildings. A Team Explosives Reconnaissance also came and scanned the area. In the end, no explosive was found and it could be scaled off again.

The police were able to trace the location of the report and the reporter. The 62-year-old Bosschenaar is currently detained and will be interrogated.

Temporarily no train traffic
Due to the bomb threat, train traffic to and from Den Bosch was temporarily halted. Between Geldermalsen and Den Bosch and also between Oss and Den Bosch there were no trains for about half an hour. Train traffic resumed around midnight.
