On Monday, a dispute escalated horribly in Berlin-Kladow.
A tenant (27) of an apartment in an apartment building on Kladower Damm received a visit from a 39-year-old man and a neighbor (60) on Monday afternoon. For reasons that are not yet known, a dispute broke out. The tenant is said to have hit the 60-year-old in the head and thrown him out of the apartment.
A little later, around 5:20 p.m., the 27- and 39-year-olds heard suspicious noises and noticed flames in front of the apartment door – the doormat was on fire.
While the tenant was fetching water in the bathroom, the guest is said to have opened the apartment door. At that moment, the 60-year-old splashed him with a liquid that ignited.
The flames injured the 39-year-old’s face and hands. The younger one was finally able to delete them. The guest was taken to the hospital.
Police officers arrested the 60-year-old suspect in his apartment next door. He was also taken to the hospital for outpatient treatment for a head injury before being handed over to the criminal police.
The suspect is scheduled to appear on Tuesday for an arrest warrant to be issued.
