Around 9.55 pm the police received a report of a stabbing at the Rosenholm in Hoofddorp. Several police units arrived and a trauma helicopter was also deployed.
The stabbing probably took place in a home. Another man was injured. According to the police, the victim was still approachable. The man was taken to the hospital. Nothing is known about his condition.
Shortly after the stab incident, the police arrested a 45-year-old man from Haarlemmermeer. He is stuck and is interrogated. What the reason for the stabbing was is still unclear. According to a police spokesperson, a conflict might have preceded it.
The police are further investigating the stabbing.
