17-year-old seriously injured
After a roof truss fire in Lübben-Lubolz on Lubolzer Hauptstraße in the Brandenburg district of Dahme-Spreewald, a 43-year-old man died of smoke inhalation.
A 17-year-old was also taken to a hospital for treatment, a police spokesman said.
The fire in the apartment building broke out around 1 a.m. on Friday night. Numerous fire brigades in the district were deployed. The cause of the fire initially remained unclear.
The Brandenburg police are now investigating the fire.
