A 42-year-old man was arrested last Tuesday on suspicion of involvement in the death of the 60-year-old IJmuide resident, the police reported.
The 60-year-old man was found at his home at Sam Vlessinghof in IJmuiden on October 16 this year around 4 p.m.
The man in his sixties was known to his neighbors as a drinking and down-to-earth nuisance. His behavior caused them annoyance, but also pity. A neighbor informed NH that the man had also been beaten up before and said she was “not surprised” by the man’s death. Police investigation revealed that it was an unnatural death.
The 42-year-old suspect was arraigned today. In any case, he will remain in custody for another 14 days.
