A 41-year-old man was arrested in the Mascagnistraat in Tilburg after he threatened a local resident with a knife. The victim defended herself and suffered a cut. The man with the knife holed up in his house until an arrest team arrived.
Things went wrong on Saturday afternoon when a 41-year-old man started threatening one of his neighbors with a knife in Macagni Street. The local resident suffered a cut to the arm when he defended himself. It is unclear why the man became aggressive.
The suspect, an acquaintance of the police, then holed up in his house and did not respond to the first calls from the police to come out.
It wasn’t until an arrest team arrived that the man walked out. He was placed against a wall and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder or attempted aggravated assault and vandalism.
