Man (37) arrested thanks to license plate for burglary Bergen aan Zee beach tent

A 37-year-old man from The Hague was arrested last night for breaking into a beach bar in Bergen aan Zee last weekend. This was yet another squat, the seventh this month.

The beach bar in Bergen was broken into from Friday to Saturday night. On camera images, which were read by the detectives, a license plate could be seen, according to the police.

By means of a license plate registration system (with ANPR cameras, ed.) that license plate was traced to Hoofddorp, where the police were able to arrest a man from The Hague. He is currently detained at the police station.

Other burglaries

It is currently being investigated whether the man also had any loot with him at the time of the arrest. Yesterday NH Nieuws reported that from Sunday to Monday night (after the burglary in Bergen) there was a burglary at a beach bar in Castricum.

It is not yet clear whether this suspect from The Hague can be linked to this. That also applies to the other five burglaries since the beginning of August. Below an overview.
