The van the man was driving collided with an oncoming car. The driver of that car sustained an injury to his leg. A third vehicle was also damaged.
Police, fire brigade, ambulance and a mobile medical team were called to provide first aid at the accident site. The road was closed. The police are investigating the cause of the accident on the spot. One of the vehicles was found to have been stolen on Thursday morning.
