A 29-year-old man from Zwolle has been arrested for involvement in several fires on the A28 near Rogat. He was arrested last night in the city of Overijssel. “The man is suspected of, among other things, sedition and arson,” said the police.
There were several roadside fires along the A28 on Wednesday by activists protesting against the cabinet’s nitrogen plans. That was not only at Rogat, but also near Hoogeveen. About fifteen tractor units were lined up next to the hard shoulder.
Police do not rule out more arrests.
