A 28-year-old man from Valkenswaard has been sentenced to two years in prison. In 2020 he raped two colleagues at the healthcare institution in Veldhoven where he worked. The man himself states that the women challenged him and wanted sex with him.
The man, who is married and has two young children, now works as a baker. His lawyer thought a prison sentence was too harsh given his personal situation and asked for community service, but the judge found that sentence far too light. He must also pay the women compensation totaling 10,000 euros.
In November 2020, the man touched the buttocks of a woman he was on duty with several times. Later that day he trapped her in the medicine room and put his hand down her pants and into her vagina.
The victim said in her report: “He stood next to me and sat with his hands on my breasts and buttocks. I then said: ‘Act normal.’ He also said to me: ‘It doesn’t do anything to you, does it, when I touch you.’ He knew that I had a woman as a partner. He said that later in the medicine room when he had his fingers inside me.”
She told him to stop but froze and couldn’t fight him off. “I didn’t know what was happening to me.” The rape stopped because someone called her from the hallway.
Second victim
At the beginning of December, another colleague expressed her heart to the man. She talked about her relationship problems. He then forced himself on her, touched her buttocks and breasts several times that day and forced her to give him a blow job in the medicine room.
“I tried to avoid him that night. He kept texting me. These texts were also sexist. He also kept asking if I wanted to come to the medicine cabinet. I didn’t want that and kept putting it off, but we worked on that moment in the department for patients with an infectious disease. I needed morphine and the two of you have to sign off on that.”
In the medicine room the woman was forced to give the man a blowjob. “He did it hard and I gagged. I broke out into a sweat. He jerked himself off and came in my mouth. I swallowed this too. Then he finished and walked away.”
