A 23-year-old Amsterdammer was stabbed Saturday night during an argument at the Oudebrugsteeg, located on the Warmoesstraat, in the center. The victim was taken to hospital and is in good condition. The police are still looking for the perpetrator.
Around 0.30 am, the police received a report of a fight at Warmoesstraat. Upon arrival, officers found a man stabbed to death. According to the police, it may have been an incident between several people and they ran away.
The police closed off part of Oudebrugsteeg for trace evidence. According to a witness, the police took a DNA sample from the traces of blood found on the spot and a can that was covered with blood was seized for further examination.
