A 22-year-old man from Asten who was seriously injured in an accident in Liessel on Sunday died in hospital from his injuries. The police reported this on Monday morning. The car in which the victim was traveling with three others left the road on Sunday afternoon at Heitrak and crashed into a tree.
The police announced on Sunday that three of the four injured were in serious condition. The now deceased victim was not the driver, but one of the passengers.
The four were all taken to hospital after the accident. Three of them to the Radboudumc in Nijmegen and one to the Elkerliek in Helmond.
One-sided accident
No other road users were involved in the accident that happened late Sunday afternoon. What caused the car to leave the road is being investigated by the police.
