A 21-year-old man from Beilen hit a police officer in the face in the night from Friday to Saturday in the center of Groningen.
The incident took place on Gelkingestraat around four o’clock. Two officers arrived on the scene to calm down a conflict between two men, but the man from Beilen directed his aggression at one of the officers and hit him in the face.
De Drent was arrested for assault. whereupon he scolded both officers several times.
The Groningen police are handling the case.
