A 20-year-old man from Dijk en Waard died in an accident with a tractor on a piece of land on the Veertweg in Noord-Scharwoude. The police confirm that.
The accident happened around 2.30pm this afternoon.
The man was probably working in the field with a tractor. Police suspect the victim got out of the tractor and ended up under it.
Fire trucks, ambulances and an air ambulance came to the scene of the accident to rescue the man, but to no avail.
The police and the labor inspectorate are now further investigating the accident to find out exactly how it could have happened.
