A 19-year-old man from Eindhoven collided with a police car on a stolen scooter on Saturday afternoon. A woman in the back was injured in the hand. This happened on Planetenlaan.
The driver immediately chose the harepath. The scooter he was riding turned out to be stolen. The lock had been drilled out, according to police. Officers soon found out who the man was, after which they were able to arrest him at home. The man is suspected of stealing the scooter, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a driver’s license.
It is unclear how the accident happened, a police spokesperson said. Traffic specialists from another unit are investigating this. Investigators are also investigating who stole the scooter.
