The Malian court announced on Wednesday evening that it was opening an investigation into a massacre in the centrally located city of Moura. At the end of March, according to witnesses, a mass execution of civilians by Malian soldiers and foreign, probably Russian, mercenaries took place there. Human rights organization Human Rights Watch (HRW), which spoke to several witnesses, estimates the number of those executed at 300.
