Making the city a little more beautiful together: you can do these fun activities with NLdoet in Zoetermeer

Working together through Zoetermeer initiatives: that is NLdoet in a nutshell. The big volunteer campaign is back on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 March and there are also fun activities in Zoetermeer.

Call your neighbor and roll up your sleeves to make Zoetermeer even more beautiful! How about refurbishing balconies, building an insect hotel or gardening? Together you ensure that Zoetermeer looks just that little bit more beautiful.

NLdoes

NLdoet is an annual campaign throughout the Netherlands and is organized by the Oranje Fonds. During NLdoet there are hundreds of initiatives involving the help of volunteers. It usually concerns smaller jobs, such as cleaning a park or painting a wall. The action days are traditionally opened by King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima, who also participate. It is not yet known where they will go this time.

You can see on the website of NLdoet what activities in your area are. So far, there are more than thirty activities throughout Zoetermeer. You can sign up on your own, but you can also get started with your family, friends or neighbours.

For example, you can do odd jobs in the residents’ area at the Semsschans, refurbish chicken coops at the Kurkhout and provide various canteens with a lick of paint. If you prefer to go outside, you can help during the start of the gardening season or weed in the Food Forest in Benthuizen. All places where you probably don’t come that quickly, and where you can enjoy each other.
