Western Sicily, from the Trapani coast to the Valley of the Temples, is the true protagonist of Makari, Raiuno fiction based on the novels of Gaetano Savatteri.

The second season confirms the strengths and weaknesses of the debut, with a not particularly sought-after script which is however well balanced by successful intertwining of narrative lines, subplots and genres of reference.

Saverio Lamanna (Claudio Gioè) is a journalist who has returned to Sicily after a badly ended Roman experience; here he rediscovers his passion for writing and for his own land, ending up investigating small news cases.

Helped by his eccentric friend Peppe (Domenico Centamore) and with the student Suleima (Ester Pantano), he forms an unlikely trio that is reassembled again this season, albeit with changed roles and relationships.

The trigger of the second season is the involvement of Saverio and Peppe in an online information site; during a service in the Valley of the Temples (in the garden of Kolymbetra), the corpse of an archaeologist whom the protagonists had met a few days earlier was found.

The dynamics of the trio is an effective narrative device and allows you to keep the yellow line, the comedy one, together (exchanges between Saverio and Peppe) and the pink and mélo one (the sentimental relationship with Suleima).
For those who appreciate soft Italian-style yellows and love to be seduced by breathtaking settings
