AND for two years the public has been waiting for the new adventures of Màkari, the series based on the detective stories set in Sicily by Gaetano Savatteri. And this evening, on Rai 1 at 9.30pmthe adventures finally start again with the third season of writer/cop Saverio Lamannahis girlfriend Suleima and the funny assistant Peppe Piccionelloalso called “Buttery Chick” by his friend.
The first adventure involves two ex-girlfriends of Lamanna: Serena and Antonia. It also fits in the middle the new entry Michela, a teacher from the local high school who insisted on having Lamanna in a writing class. Suleima obviously doesn’t stand by and watchhis dear friend Giulio arrives in Sicily. In this first episode, jealousy is the absolute protagonist.
Màkari 3: the plot of the first episode
Saverio Lamanna (Claudio Gioè) in front of the blue sea of Western Sicily he is writing his first novel about the apocalypse, but it is also the first day of a writing course that he has to teach in a local high school. A certain person wanted it Michela Pacino (Serena Iansiti), a teacher and fan of his detective stories.
Pupils actually don’t like crime novels and they have no interest in the writer’s lessons. Lamanna will devise a method to stimulate their curiosity. At school Saverio meets Michela, a charming woman and his fan, who will help him investigate the first case of the episode.
The case involved two ex-girlfriends of Lamanna: Serena and Antonia. In reality the two were old friends, but when the writer left one for the other as a boy, there was bad blood between the two. Serena’s son breaks the nose of Antonia and her husband Bernardo’s son during a fight. The parents don’t wait a minute and file a lawsuit asking for 120 thousand euros in damages. Antonia seeks Saverio’s help to calm things down. But it’s useless. Bernardo has no intention of giving in: «The law is the law», he says.
A few days later the body of Bernardo is found lifeless with a gunshot to the head. Who was it and who wanted him dead? Lamanna, Piccionello (Domenico Centamore), the deputy commissioner Giacomo Randone (Filippo Luna) e Michela they begin to investigate.
Obviously the first suspects are the husband of Serena and Antonia, who feels strong resentment towards the victim for having squandered all their belongings. In Bernardo’s car clothes belonging to a woman are foundFurthermore, Saverio discovers that his son did not break his nose due to a fight, but in the gym during a boxing match.
The new entries in the cast and the jealousy between Lamanna and Suleima
In the third season of Màkari in addition to Michela’s entry, which will make Suleima quite jealous (Ester Pantano), another character takes over, Giulio (Eugenio Franceschini), a dear friend of Lamanna’s partner, who certainly doesn’t stand by and watch Saverio being surrounded by two exes and the teacher on duty.
Suleima welcomes the visionary artist Giulio homewith whom he shared unforgettable years at university and especially four years of love. However, Saverio doesn’t know this last detail. Our crime writer only knows that Giulio broke into their house because he has I need the support of my friend Suleima for a disappointment in love.

But will it really be like this? Giulio has a very specific plan in mind. In fact, she decides to stay in Sicily and encourage her friend Suleima to realize the dream she has wanted for a long time: open his own architecture studio in Màkari. An idea that Lamanna has never fully supported.

It’s a bit like salt in pasta. In Màkari it can not miss Peppe Little onealso called “Buttery Chick” by Saverio. He is Lamanna’s inseparable friend and helper. Like a shadow it follows the writer in his investigations and does so with his unmistakable outfits: colored pro Sicily t-shirtsflip-flops and shorts.
And of course he always has something tasty on hand: its strong point is the swordfish meatballs. «Cold they are even better», he claims. Michela is also of the same opinion.
In this new season Peppe will also discover the torments of love. How will he present himself on the first date? And who will be the lucky one who will be courted by this ancient and modern man?
