Traffic on the A27 will get into a major traffic jam on Monday morning. Around seven o’clock an accident involving a truck occurred on the road from Gorinchem to Breda. The left lane at Oosterhout-Zuid was then closed. This led to a fourteen kilometer long traffic jam around half past seven, causing a delay of more than an hour. Then things also went wrong on the road from Breda to Gorinchem.
An accident happened there at the Hooipolder junction. The right lane was closed there.
Take a detour
This closure led to a ten-kilometre traffic jam from Breda-Noord around eight o’clock. The ANWB warned at that time of no less than 2.5 hours of delay. Traffic heading to South Holland is advised to drive via the A16 and A59.
The other traffic jam, on the road from Gorinchem to Breda, has been slowly clearing up since eight in the morning. The closed left lane at Oosterhout-Zuid has been open since eight o’clock. At a quarter past eight the delay had decreased from an hour to 45 minutes. The traffic jam from Nieuwendijk was fourteen kilometers long at that time.
