A large part of Assen, Witten and Bovensmilde were without power last night. The outage started just after half past twelve last night.
According to grid operator Enexis, this is a major power outage: 488 postal codes were without power. “Ultimately, more than 7,600 households were affected,” spokesperson Annemieke van Put said. Part of the fault was resolved around one o’clock. After about two hours everyone had power again.
Annemieke van Put from Enexis: “The fault occurred at one of the distribution stations, which was completely out of order. Fortunately, the technicians quickly resolved the biggest problems thanks to a backup system. Work will continue at this distribution station in the coming days. a cable needs to be replaced. But people won’t notice anything.”
