1/3 The fire started in a tent in the backyard of the Tilburg house
A fire destroyed a house on the Brasemstraat in Tilburg on Tuesday morning. A dog was killed. The fire is believed to have started in a tent in the backyard against the house, and then spread to surrounding houses.
Firefighters are still busy fighting the fire. Roof tiles are also removed in order to be able to extinguish the fire under the roof.
A spokesperson for the Security Region said no one was in the tent when the fire broke out. The residents managed to get out of the house in time.
Smoke inhaled
Two ambulances also arrived on the scene. Two people were given oxygen for smoke inhalation. Then they were transferred to the hospital.
Local residents have had to leave their homes. Many people are standing on the street watching the fire.
