The fire started on the first floor of the farm just outside Scharnegoutum. The front part of the Wine & Whiskey Barn housed, among other things, the shop, the tasting room and the café area of the more than one hundred year old family business. The wholesaler, which is located in a storage shed behind the farm, was saved by the fire brigade.
