Major fire: child taken to hospital and houses uninhabitable

A major fire raged in a house on Waalstraat in Den Bosch on Friday evening. It appears that the fire broke out at the rear and then reached the home. Both this house and that of the neighbors are uninhabitable. A child estimated to be ten years old suffered from smoke inhalation and was taken to a hospital.

There were three people inside at the time of the fire, including the child. It was taken to the doctor’s office to be sure.

A neighbor said she heard a loud bang just before the fire. There may be intent at play. After the report, the fire brigade arrived with several vehicles. Several police cars also rushed to Waalstraat. Officers completely cordoned off the road and set up a so-called crime scene. It is not known whether there was arson, which could explain the explosion.

The fire was reported to the alarm center around a quarter to ten in the evening. The fire raged in a corner house and affected the entire house.
