A large drug waste dump was found in the Kleine Dommel river on the Mierloseweg in Geldrop. There is foam everywhere on the river. The drug waste was first found in the river near Geldrop castle. Police are currently searching upstream and kilometers further for the place where the waste was dumped.
“Because the current is strong, it is unclear where exactly the waste was dumped,” said a police spokesperson.
‘Over a great distance’
According to a 112 correspondent, the foam from the drug waste flows over a great distance through the Dommel. “At the moment, officers in the surrounding villages are trying to find the exact location,” said the 112 correspondent.
Agents are searching at Heeze Castle, among other places. That is about 7 kilometers away from the site of the find in Geldrop.
