In the women’s premier league, Telstar Women and VV Alkmaar have suffered nasty defeats. At home, Telstar Women lost no less than 4-0 to PEC Zwolle. VV Alkmaar had to fish five times against ADO Den Haag: 5-0.
In Velsen-Zuid it did not look at all like Telstar would run into a major defeat in the first half. At halftime the glasses position was still on the scoreboard, but in a period of nine minutes PEC Zwolle scored no less than three times. Leonie Vlek was accurate twice on behalf of the visitors and Evi Maatman also scored once. The same Maatman signed just before time for the final score of 0-4.
In The Hague, VV Alkmaar had little to say. After hits from Liz Rijsbergen and Jaimy Ravensbergen, the home team already had a 2-0 lead after just over half an hour of play. The team of coach Mark de Vries was also unable to do much after the break. Rijsbergen and Ravensbergen both scored their second goal of the evening and Gina Viehoff decided the game at 5-0.
Telstar Women is stuck in penultimate place with eight points after the defeat. VV Alkmaar is one place higher with eleven points from fourteen games.
