The Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate will carry out waste checks on Wednesday at various places in Limburg.
Waste transports are checked on the A76 at the border crossing with Germany.

Inspectors check whether the papers are in order and whether the waste on them is actually being transported. Drones with cameras are used to check this. Especially with open drawer boxes, they provide a picture of what is being transported.
Environmental Crime
The checks must provide a picture of the waste processing companies and possible environmental crime. “This results in damage to people and the environment and we want to prevent that,” said an inspector.
waste processors
In addition to checking at the border, inspectors also visit eight waste processors in Limburg. There, too, it is checked whether the papers are in order and whether the waste is processed correctly. The inspectorate is assisted by the police.
