At the Gerrit Kiststraat in Zaandam, a major alarm has been raised at various emergency services. The fire brigade and a special police team that normally dismantle drug labs, among others, have moved towards the industrial estate.
According to a spokesperson for the security region, much is still unclear about what exactly happened in the industrial area. A fire broke out last night, which is still a lot to do, but the fire in question has now been extinguished.
The National Police Dismantling Facility team is on site to assist. It is not clear for which signals they have been called, but normally this team is used to dismantle drug labs.
