Majan begins his musical journey right after school – a young guy from Schorndorf with a lot of feeling in the voice and a sharp look for what happens between the lines. Suddenly he finds himself again in the so -called “Mansion” of Cro, a house in Stuttgart, a place full of ideas, sessions and he is a free spirit. Songs like “I’m doing well” or “1975” – and with them the quick success at the age of 19. But how do you deal with it as a young artist? How do you grow up when everything happens at once?
Majan deals with this question not only in private, but also in his art. With his new album “If nothing comes from nothing, where do I come from?” he goes deep – maybe as deep than ever. He questions the mechanisms of the music industry, reflects the pressure and claim to art itself, and asks the existential questions that many forget in everyday life, such as: “Is success really happiness?”.
Majan has become an adult – not in the sense of clarified, but reflects. He questions himself without losing himself. And with this album he shows that depth, attitude and innovation also have their place in pop rap and that it is not always about the same topics.
