Just in time at 1:30 p.m.: Rock am Ring 2025 officially starts with a “very special guest” on the Utopia Stage. Anyone who is the first secret opener of this year’s anniversary festival remained under lock and key – now the riddle is ventilated.

The surprise act plays a one-hour show from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and opens up a festival weekend that has it all. The second secret slot follows directly at 3 p.m. – also a “very special guest” that takes over for another hour. This is where Rock am Ring is in full: a total of over 100 acts have announced themselves on four stages.
One of the most exciting slots in the evening: Knocked Loose, which until recently was kept by Rock am Ring and Rock in the Park as a Secret Act, enter the stage at 4:30 p.m. The US hardcore act will make the infield shake for 50 minutes. The rest of the daily program can also keep up: Today we are among others Weezer, the nerves, tribulation, soft play, a day to remember, Biffy Clyro, The Prodigy, Olli Schulz, Tocotronic – and as headliner: Bring me the Horizon. The acts from Friday at Rock am Ring will play at Rock im Park on Sunday.
Rock am Ring celebrates a big anniversary
In 2025 Rock am Ring celebrates its 40th birthday and presents itself with the line-up, but also his look in top form. The festival site at the Nürburgring has received an extensive upgrade: with a new fourth stage, LED towers for even more impressive shows and a changed input layout, the festival starts again. The tent places are open on Wednesday, tens of thousands of fans traveled – and now it is finally time to: stage free.
