I can understand Mainz that they don’t want to find a replacement at the moment. Not being able makes a big difference and unfortunately I have to say that this is absolute nonsense.

I can understand that in a way. With Dahmen they have a TW replacement that probably comes close to Zentner in terms of quality and can become a top TW in terms of potential.
But what I find so cheeky about the whole thing is that they are blocking his future. Every minute/ every game that he plays less will worsen his career.
Of course he has a contract, but if I’m honest, that would be the first time a player’s strike was 100% understandable.
I don’t know to what extent there were offers, but to say that he can’t go is an insolence. Hopefully he will be able to build his career.

For Dahmen, the only option for playing time is a change and if you don’t want to let him go because you don’t feel like looking for a replacement (which is justified), then you don’t have to be surprised (it would be understandable from a player perspective), when he goes on strike.
