The painting ‘L’ami intime’ by the Belgian surrealist painter René Magritte (1898-1967) was auctioned in London for 33.66 million pounds (almost 39.4 million euros). Christie’s auction house announced this on Thursday. The value of the work was estimated between 30 and 50 million pounds (35 and 58 million euros).
